Vocational Education and Training (VET) is learners focused training, therefore training in the VET sector must be personalised, customised to learner's needs. VET training is training for a purpose, in other words, training outcomes must be identified and must be relevant to current industry needs in order to satisfy employers expectations and support human resources performance.
NVR RTOs (RTOs regulated by ASQA) must meet the requirement detailed in the legislative instrument Financial Viability Risk Assessment Requirements 2011.
ASQA generally assess RTOs Financial Viability when an organisation applies for initial registration.
A Training and Assessment Strategy (TAS) helps you to plan and document key aspects of your program such as what it includes, how the training and assessment is organized and who will be involved.
The Standards for NVR Registered Training Organisations 2011 state: "Training and assessment strategy means a framework that guides the learning requirements and the teaching, training and assessment arrangements of a VET qualification. It is the document that outlines the macro-level requirements of the learning and assessment process."
