Back in 2017 I posted several questions about various strategies that can be used (with varied effectiveness) to enhance retention and recall. I posted the questions on several groups for VET training professionals and on my own personal thread and had more than 100 responses!
Using micro learning in VET. Recently, I had the privilege to present at the Industry Training Solutions Summit and one of the topics for discussion was the effect of micro learning in the workplace. As the discussion began, many claimed more flexibility was needed within qualifications to meet industry requirements, and more funding options for skill sets.
Using Skill Sets to meet industry needs. Vocational Education and Training must provide solutions and support individuals and industry in Vocational Preparation and Vocational Development (Continuous Professional Development).
Although our VET system is a leader in Vocational Preparation, mainly because of government funding conditions, RTOs are losing opportunities in Vocational Development programs.
